After college graduation, she worked as a weekend meteorologist in Missoula, Montana. Later, she moved to Hastings, Nebraska, after battling the snow and ice. She worked as a meteorologist at KHAS-TV for HOAK media.
Her career began there with weekend shows and was later promoted to weekday evening shows. After two years, she headed to Huntington, West Virginia, where she created weather forecasts for four distinct regions every weekend
