Brian New is an American Ten-time Emmy award-winning investigative reporter working for CBS 11 News in Dallas, Texas where he serves as an investigative reporter. Before joining the station in 2013 he worked for KENS in San Antonio, Texas.

After he graduated from Syracuse University, he went on to work as a reporter for KTWO TV in Cheyenne, Wyoming. From there, he joined KVII-TV in Amarillo, Texas where he worked as a news reporter for two years.
Before working at KENS in San Antonio, Texas, he served at 6 NEWS WOWT in Omaha, Nebraska as a reporter for three years. In the course of his working time there, the Texas Associated Press Broadcasters named him “Best Reporter” in 2009-10 and 2010-11.
